- In charge of the overall support for our local IT team on our regional (Southern Europe) Core Oracle database
- The successful candidate will have to ensure the performance, availability & security for each country database (Spain, Portugal, Italy)
- Work with the application administrator to make sure that the associate hardware resources allocated to the databases ensure high availability and optimum performance.
- Define & guaranty the right design for our Oracle core DB and all the data exchange around (ETL, Transaction broker,…)
- To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure services with minimum downtime.
- Responsible for improvement & maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
- Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team.
- Ensure continued delivery of a reliable service in an efficient and cost-effective manner leveraging identified synergies where appropriate.
- Care about problem escalation to Oracle development team and the third parties as appropriate.
- The DBA will have to provide to the application administrator and the IT management team the key figure report as a formal dashboard (Trend approach)

Se requiere:

The ideal candidate will have Application architecture experience, knowledge of data/information architecture, strong database management background and technical infrastructure architecture knowledge.
In addition, he will have a real background in:
- IT development language: PL/SQL.
- OS & Database: Linux, Windows 2003 server, ORACLE 10.G), (Sql server would be appreciate)
- English language
