The company is seeking a highly motivated and well-networked individual to establish the Spanish office of the world's leading climate change charity.
Applicants will be responsible for:
* Growing this organization's influence and effectiveness in Southern Europe.
* Leading the establishment of the company Spain operation
* Formulating and executing a funding strategy to enable the above to take place.
* Maintaining and leveraging relationships with current company partners, local agents, and sponsors.
* Developing robust strategic new partnerships with government agencies, accounting bodies, data providers, exchanges, leading investors, corporations, foundations and academic institutes.
* Increasing the number of Spanish and Southern European financial institutions that become signatory investors and working closely with these signatories to improve the quality of data reported to the company.

The successful candidate will have:
- A clear understanding of the aims, objectives and processes of this organization.
- A passionate desire to drive forward the mission of this organization.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent and proven public speaking skills.
- At least 10 years experience in either the investor, corporate, government or non-profit sectors.
- At least 5 years managerial expertise.
- Extensive knowledge of climate change from a business and investor perspective.
- Excellent awareness of Spanish and Southern European policy developments on climate change and their implications for business.
- Sound understanding of global policy action on climate change and how Spain and Southern Europe fits in with the current efforts towards a post 2012 global agreement on climate change.
